Electrical Information Swimming Pools

Why do you have to bond an above-ground swimming pool?

Bonding your pool is a safety measure to prevent accidentally getting electrocuted or seriously injured. You need to create a field around your swimming pool by attaching the bonding wire to the metal deck, pool equipment, metal pool wall, and even the water.

Water and electricity are a dangerous combination, installing a pool bonding wire helps mitigate the danger. Even if you have a temporary pool like an Intex pool, please take the time to put in a proper dedicated GFI Plug/Outlet and bond the pool equipment.

I can recommend

Dwight Knox at D & D Electric. Office 585-624-3868. Cell 585-729-0684. I have referred Dwight for over 15 years and his company wired my hot tub at home. Dwight travels to most areas except the city of Rochester.

If you are in the City of Rochester and surrounding areas. Try Brian Post of Unlimited Electric Inc. Office 585-223-2157. Cell 585-314-8900. Brian recently purchased a hot tub from me and I recommend giving him a call
